Need help with a salvage run? Start with the quick answers below. Astro Salvage is designed to work without an account and stores game progress locally on your device.
Gameplay basics
- Fly: drag the joystick in the bottom-right corner to thrust. Your ship drifts, so use short bursts to steer.
- Scavenge: use the FIRE control in the bottom-left to break salvage loose, then fly near it to collect it automatically.
- Return safely: dock at a station to sell cargo and repair your hull before launching another run.
- Abilities: unlock modules in the Hangar, then use their ability controls during a run when available.
Troubleshooting
- The game will not load: check your internet connection for the first launch, then reopen the app. The game can continue from its cached bundle afterward.
- My progress is missing: progress is stored locally. Avoid deleting the app or clearing its website data, because that removes the local save.
- Controls do not respond: close and reopen the app, then try a short joystick drag. On supported keyboards, arrow keys/WASD move and Space or F fires.
- Audio is silent: check the device mute switch and volume, then select the MUSIC tab in the Hangar to confirm music and effects are enabled.
